Developed a component for Joomla that provides all functionality needed to run a fantasy racing league. The component allows players to select riders from a list of competitors and receive points based on their performances.

Joellestagram (via Toptal) (Development)

Created Ajax application that communicates through PHP to the Instagram API and retrieves user's pictures for future display. Application also provides thumbnail selection to fast skip through pictures. Utilized pretty URLs to allow Google to index the site properly. Application is inserted in a Wordpress static page and uses Javascript, HTML, CSS, PHP (for Instagram API), and Disqus.
Modified Wordpress template to allow the use of ads in order of importance as well as the assignment of expiration dates to said ads.
Installed all updates and fixed all post-update bugs.

Fully developed site using the Joomla CMS in a multilingual environment.
Customized site from the ground-up, including graphics and custom extensions for CMS.
Implemented Google Calendar API for events and Google Maps API for Geolocalization. Both APIs were customized to provide a look and feel similar to native site.

Media Life Magazine (via Toptal) (Development)

Developed site using Wordpress CMS. Performed heavy customization to provide the frontpage interface. Created email-compatible templates, rendered by Wordpress.
Implemented snapshot system using Cron Jobs to create a daily snapshot of the site, accessible throughout the week (without any necessary access to database or Wordpress).
Transferred the site from IIS6 to Apache; left IIS6 running to provide newsletter and email server, but changed the HTTP server to run on port 8080. To allow users to retrieve dated stories, created the appropriate redirects to connect to the former system.
