Position Description

Toptal is looking for a Cross-Channel Marketing Manager. This person will be a pivotal part of Toptal’s Performance Marketing team. In this role, you will oversee the management of Toptal’s marketing campaigns and strategies by working with several Marketing Channel teams.

This is a remote position that can be done from anywhere. Due to the remote nature of this role, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship. Resumes and communication must be submitted in English.

Responsibilities:

  • Create the strategy of multiple cross-channel campaigns like New Categories and Practices, retargeting, account-based marketing (ABM), Toptal teams, etc.
  • Responsible for creation and execution of accurate measurement approaches.
  • Work with members of the Paid Media, Growth, Product, and Analytics teams to implement a cohesive cross-channel marketing strategy.
  • Own cross-channel reporting by working closely with the business Analytics team.
  • Create performance marketing best practices and coordinate the execution with the Paid Media team.
  • Maximize the efficiency of Marketing campaigns and provide Toptal with a steady stream of high-potential prospective clients and talent.

In the first week, expect to:

  • Onboard and integrate into Toptal. Meet with the teams and people you will have working relationships with.
  • Work closely with the Director of Paid Media and Director of Cross-Channel Marketing to get a fundamental understanding of the teams, product, and business operations.
  • Work closely with the Paid Media team to dive deep into our history, assets, roadmap, and unexplored opportunities that you will be able to lead.
  • Independently start to study and learn the Toptal platform & product suite.

In the first month, expect to:

  • Familiarize yourself with our current Performance Marketing strategies, channel testing strategies, principles of growth marketing and identify areas for growth.
  • Have a good understanding of Toptal’s historical SEM and Paid Media performance, including seasonal trends and major past experiments.
  • Develop an understanding of the growth opportunities in Toptal’s performance marketing team.
  • Create cross-channel marketing strategy plans and take ownership of current cross-channel campaigns.

In the first three months, expect to:

  • Launch and evaluate your own cross-channel marketing campaign.
  • Deliver successful growth marketing strategies that can be further iterated and replicated.
  • Work closely with other teams on cross-channel initiatives.
  • Develop scalable templates for cross-channel campaign execution.

In the first six months, expect to:

  • Demonstrate significant impact on Toptal’s performance marketing growth by executing successful cross-channel marketing strategies.
  • Become Toptal’s expert in all things related to the marketing tracking, measurement, and cross-channel marketing. You will hold a pivotal role in generating company revenue and maintaining the company’s hypergrowth.

In the first year, expect to:

  • Be a success story within the Performance Marketing team. You will be able to show concrete, bottom-line impact.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Expertise in marketing, with 4+ years of experience with annual budgets in excess of $1M.
  • Experience in the end-to-end ideation, implementation, analysis, and promotion of growth strategies.
  • Experience in the day-to-day management of marketing campaigns with a focus on long-term performance and improving cost efficiency.
  • Experience with A/B testing strategies.
  • Experience with summarizing results into slide decks.
  • Experience presenting to large teams and executives.
  • Impeccable writing and communication skills in English.
  • Experience working with a number of stakeholders, both internal and external, across time zones and geographies.
  • Comfort with a fast-paced and often rapidly-changing environment with a strong emphasis on individual contributions and execution excellence.
  • Innate curiosity and willingness to learn, and an obsession with growth performance.
  • Bonus: Experience with B2B growth marketing (longer revenue funnels).
  • Bonus: Familiarity with multi-touch attribution models.
  • This is a remote position that requires a motivated self-starter. No one will monitor your working hours but you will be expected to consistently contribute value and deliver results.

As Toptal's VP of Peformance Marketing, Naveen is responsible for creating and executing on performance marketing objectives to drive growth across all of Toptal's digital channels. He joins the company from Capital One, where he managed ~$100M marketing budgets and engineered high growth rates in digital marketing channels using analytics-driven methodologies. Naveen has 15 years of experience in marketing roles in the financial services, real estate, and e-commerce industries. He holds an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University, and a Bachelor of Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Karnataka.
