The description for the event is below:

As the field of UX Research has matured, the practice of collecting and storing insights for future reference has become a hot topic. Building a “research repository” promises a reduction in redundant research studies and the democratization of data so that anyone in the organization can make meaning from user insights. Sounds great! But how do you build a usable repository, who will actually use it, and how can you ensure its success? Katya Hott, who leads the user research team at BrainPOP, will tell the story of how they built their research repository at a little differently, and ended up becoming better researchers in the process.

Bio: Katya Hott leads the user research team at BrainPOP, a company that makes content and tools for teachers and students to use in their K-8 classrooms. Katya has a masters in Digital Media Design for Learning from NYU, and experience working in EdTech and EdGames startups, as well as teaching ESL in Boston where she was passionate about incorporating technology in her classroom. Katya is interested in finding a place for meaningful research in busy, scrappy tech organizations.
