Florin is a Software Engineer focused in secure, highly distributed and scalable systems. All his clients are amazed by his ability to have a strong focus on their products and business while getting the most out of the latest technologies out there. Over the last 16 years he has worked on products from various industries including governmental, pharma & healthcare, agriculture, transportations, scholarly publishing, and lotteries. All these industries have something in common: you often get to work with legacy products and his goal was to always bring them into modern life and available to masses.

In the past 2 years, Florin has shifted towards start-ups and building cutting-edge products that disrupt their industries. This change came from a business idea of offering “Innovation Services” to companies having a hard time keeping up with industry specific trends and changes.

The first real start-up Florin started working with via Toptal was OpenReel, a company that revolutionizes the way video content is being produced. High quality video production is quite a challenging thing to scale, especially when the ultra-security required by high-profile customers is also at stake. Since then, he is also the Chief Technology Officer of a start-up called FameUp which aims to be a game changer for the influencer marketing industry by focusing on nano and micro influencers, offering businesses of all sizes a chance to get authentic content & messages into local circles of trust. The extra rapid pace of start-ups is exactly the kind of challenge that he was looking for.
