Lead Product Designer

2019 - 2021
Freedom Robotics (via Toptal)
  • Designed the initial look and feel of the product to give it a "Tony Stark" feel as requested by the client. At this time, the platform for robotics monitoring, analysis, and control I was working on was focused on startup-level robotics companies.
  • Changed direction and started working with enterprise-level clients, which required a direction change in the design language. Over many iterations, I made sure the interface evolved into a more enterprise-friendly version.
  • Assisted in designing the concept of fleets. The client was unsure how to group and present the user's robots. Seeing how every user could be different, I helped them develop the concept of fleets, which was a flexible way of grouping devices.
  • Helped implement the zones structure to the existing fleets. Zones were smaller groups nested in each other under fleets.
  • Created the pilot experience. The user could either control their robots from a first-person perspective with the help of the cameras on the robot and a joystick interface or a map, and they could give direct commands and designate routes.
  • Designed the new dashboard creation flow, where the user can add data topics as they need, resize easily, drag and drop and create their dashboards according to their needs.
Technologies: Robot Operating System (ROS), InVision, Sketch

Product Designer

2018 - 2021
Visuo (via Toptal)
  • Designed a fun-but-simple journey for users with no experience in video editing to generate videos that they can use as their marketing material.
  • Created the product to look and feel trendy according to the most popular style at the time.
  • Conducted work on the interactions to ease the video generation process, without sacrificing the capabilities of the product.
  • Maintained the relationship and got to work with the client repeatedly as they needed new iterations on their product over the years.
Technologies: Sketch, InVision

Product Designer

Graphaware—Hume (via Toptal)
  • Designed an annotation tool to train Hume, a natural language AI.
  • Handled different aspects of the annotation, such as defining entities, co-references, and relationships, all of which required a different method to annotate.
  • Applied visual cues to keep the annotation process intuitive and leveraged the keyboard to provide the user with shortcuts for repetitive tasks.
