Daniel has over eleven years of experience working with small startups and global brands such as PayPal, Nike, and Scholastic—implementing modern UI/UX design practices, working with Agile best practices, and applying his branding expertise. He’s worked on projects from concept to finish as well as on existing digital products. His industry experience lays mainly in the entertainment & fashion, eCommerce, education, and the financial sectors.
Provided creative art direction (75%) and hands-on designing (25%).
Worked with Cisco Systems on their project called Foundations to Success; directed and managed one senior level UI/UX designer and two animators.
Worked with Hilton Garden and Hilton Innovation, working with another creative director splitting the workload between the two brands and managing a senior level graphic designer.
Worked with the W.K. Kellogg Foundation in two phases. Phase 1 was branding while phase 2 was designing an onboarding program which would incorporate the new branding. During that time I managed one senior level designer.
Designed proposal work with another creative director for the client Penske.
Managed two junior designers while working closely with engineering and the CTO along with an overseas engineering team.
Designed the onboarding for mobile along with tracking data metrics through a mixed panel—the metrics included bounce rates on mobile vs. web and retention rate drop-off on a given screen. I did A/B testing darker theme vs. light theme. I also did persona development by sending out email surveys and conducting user interviews for product insights.
Created an entire new mobile experience for users along with rolling out the desktop build 2.0.
Designed marketing collateral which included email templates and social media graphics.
