LaiYee is a designer who studied information science and DEA (Design and Environmental Analysis) at Cornell University, where she co-founded Cornell UX Design. She is the co-founder of Delve, a tool for qualitative researchers, and writes articles for UXPA magazine and the Delve blog. LaiYee led teams in creating smart homes at Wink and helped launch Amazon's first version of the Amazon Fire TV.

Spearheaded the first user research study and successfully pitched for an in-house UX research team. Integrated research into the product development process by providing actionable insights.

Designed and launched the first Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, which the Verge rated as “the best media streaming box you can get.”.
Expanded the existing Amazon businesses (Instant Video, Photos, Games, Music) and third-parties (Netflix, Hulu, HBOGo) into a unified 10’ experience for Amazon’s first living room product.
Raised the bar for customer experience by designing the first TV detail page that seamlessly integrated Amazon Instant Video with third-parties into a continuous episodic viewing experience.
Defined the platform rules for UI components, screens, and templates that would serve as the foundation for all Fire OS living room experiences.
