Toptal is excited to sponsor the Auckland Software Craftsmanship event in Auckland, New Zealand for a second time!
The first talk of the night will be presented by Arsalan Ellahi. Domain Driven Design is an interesting approach to tackling the complexity of a domain during the software development, Event Sourcing is a new emerging paradigm of storing data and CQRS is a design pattern evolved from CQS pattern. In recent years their collective use is becoming significantly popular because of their benefits in tackling the overall software complexity. Arsalan will give a short introduction to each one of them and pros and cons of using them individually and together.
Finally we’ll hear from Amy Palamountain who will take us on a whirl wind trip around Reactive Functional Programming and Reactive Extensions, and why it’s awesome. Then, let’s go beyond theory and look at how we use this paradigm to build GitHub for Windows and GitHub for Mac.
