About the event

EuroPython is the largest European Python conference and serves as a meeting place for all European programmers, students, and companies interested in the Python programming language. This year the conference will be held in Bilbao between July 17th and 24th.

Our developer Andrii Soldatenko will be one of the speakers. He will be giving a talk called, “What is the best full-text search engine for Python?”

A description of Andrii’s talk: “Nowadays we can see lots of benchmarks and performance tests for different web frameworks and Python tools. Regarding search engines, it’s difficult to find useful information, especially for benchmarks or when comparing between different search engines. It’s difficult to determine which search engine you should select, as there are many options out there, including ElasticSearch, Postgres Full Text Search, and even Sphinx or Whoosh. You face a difficult choice, and that’s why I am pleased to share with you my acquired experience, benchmarks, and focus on how to compare full-text search engines for Python.”

For all questions regarding the event please contact Andrii Soldatenko.
