The first-ever Toptal Meetup in Edinburgh will take place on September 15th in conjunction with the next Docker Edinburgh Meetup.
The event usually starts with beer, pizza, and some socializing, which is then followed by two talks.
One of the speakers will be Radek Ostrowski, a Toptal developer and Community leader in Edinburgh, who will give a talk called, “Intro to the Amazon EC2 Container Service (ECS).”
ECS has been production-ready a few months now, and it is a yet another solution for Docker orchestration. It might be more tempting than other options, particularly if your organization is already running in AWS.
Radek will go through the basic concepts of ECS including a demo of setting up a service stack like Apache Kafka. Radek hopes to appease the Demo Gods so all runs smoothly (this time)! Afterward, there will be time for a community discussion of the service and where we see it going.
We invite all Toptalers in Edinburgh to meet before or after the Dockers Meetup. Please contact email@example.com mentioning your preferred option (before or after the meetup) or click here, and we will go with the majority vote.
Organizing and curating Toptal events takes a lot of work, but it's certainly rewarding. We welcome all Toptalers who are excited about organizing and executing awesome events in their city. These events are great for meeting tech leaders, making new connections, and helping your community to grow. Sign up here or contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
