WordCamps are informal, community-organized events organized by WordPress users. Anyone, from casual users to core developers, can participate, share ideas, and get to know each other.
Brazil’s next WordCamp will be held December 2nd in São Paulo, at Faculdade Impacta Tecnologia.
This year includes a talk titled “Publishing a Post Screaming,” by Rodrigo Donini, a Toptal developer and CMS Screener. Rodrigo will ask the audience to scream as loud as possible; if the scream reaches a certain decibel level, a WordPress post will be published via the WP REST API. This is to illustrate the potential and possibilities of integrating WP and IoT, in this case using a small device with a microprocessor (e.g. Raspberry Pi or Tessel). Rodrigo will discuss how we can create external systems to manage all the content and information behind the CMS.
