    • Repositioned the business for sustainable growth by identifying the payment sector trend towards integrated solutions providers and leading the transition from a commodity business to a fintech platform that provided integrated payments solutions.
    • Implemented new organizational management model after identifying the need for enhanced organizational structure, planning and accountability, and led the implementation of a model called the Entrepreneurial Operating System, which is also known as Traction. This effort restructured the company’s planning, management, and operational structures to support the targeted growth plans, leading to the creation of the first formal strategic plan including 1, 5 and 10-year goals, as well as the formalization of the company vision, proven processes, and values.
    • Created a complete M&A process for the payments industry that included a proprietary Quality of Earnings review process, risk review procedures, custom historical data analysis templates, and a proprietary discounted cash flow model specific to the payments industry.
    • Created a custom pitch deck for marketing to acquisition prospects, receiving critical acclaim for the presentation and process from industry experts.
    • Reviewed six acquisitions, completed two and had one in process.
    • Led the company’s first search for senior, mezzanine and equity capital, developing relationships, creating the presentation and driving the financial modeling effort. Identified and delivered presentations to 35+ capital providers in two months.
    • Managed the finance and accounting function, maintaining responsibility for the oversight of a 4-person team, the P&L, all budgeting and planning, the management of outside auditors, as well as banking and capital management.
    • Overhauled primary finance functions and vendor relations including budgeting, financial planning, and reporting; data analytics for 4.000 customers; negotiation of material improvements in bank lending rates and structure. Led the negotiations with Global Payments, a publicly traded backend payment processor, to reduce the company's most significant cost of sales expense item by 37% and to obtain the first-ever retroactive pricing improvement on contract.
    • Oversaw the rebuild and re-positioning of the information technology team from an internal systems team to a core part of the revenue model to support the conversion to an integrated payments solution company.
    • Led the IT team to revamp the network, storage, and data management processes, enabling the business to scale while meeting PCI compliance standards that included cloud storage, colocation, on-premise power back up, in-house help desk, and full disaster recovery planning.
    • Built a team capable of creating and supporting integrated payment solutions including custom web applications, hosted payment solutions, and integration consulting services leading to the successful launch of three software products.
