He's raised $80+ million of venture/corporate financing including $30+ million from First Solar (FSLR, NASDAQ). As he enjoys working with teams, entrepreneurs, and investors, Mark launched his consulting practice to leverage his experience to help innovative companies while satisfying his passion for lifelong learning.
Developed a business financial model and structure for the first community solar company in the US.
Raised a Series A venture round of $13 million with a syndicate of investors. The round included both equity and venture debt.
Negotiated and closed the first ever tax equity investment for a community solar project with US Bank.
Closed a $60 million project financing facility with Morgan Stanely; a $30+ million Series B round with First Solar; and $150 million in project debt financing with both national banks (such as Zions Bank) and regional banks.
Structured and raised two internal early stage development funds.
Managed FP&A, accounting, and capital markets functions; developed forecasts and annual budgets.
