User Acquisition for RTS Planeta (Balkan Netflix)

Assisted by my team, we acquired 1,600,000+ users in three years, increased 10x monthly subscription revenue, and 50x organic social followers while also enabling the gain of a foothold in all relevant markets across more than 120 countries.

RTS Planeta, Serbia's oldest media company, started to provide web and mobile content streaming services through a subscription business model similar to Netflix but offering exclusive Balkan content.

For 3+ years, I led their digital marketing efforts, and throughout that period, we targeted the Balkan countries and the worldwide Balkan diaspora.

During that time, my team and I assisted them in acquiring more than 1,600,000 users within three years while also increasing their monthly subscription revenue by 10x, multiplying their organic social media followers by 50x, and aiding them in gaining users in over 120 relevant markets.

Consequently, they were able to generate sufficient revenue to launch a new version that included exclusive Serbian TV shows and movies, pushing out the competition and entirely dominating the market.
