Project History

Bond - Handwritten Notes at Scale

Led redesign of web and iOS applications, which led to $1+ million in new revenue, an increase of 433 percent YoY.

As a member of the cross-functional leadership team, I realized that our sales team was spending a disproportionate amount of time and cost onboarding SMB customers, who could instead purchase without a sales associate through a redesign of the product portfolio.
I led my team to conduct user interviews, where we quickly confirmed the hypothesis and demand for this redesign. We used this knowledge to build clickable prototypes, which we then tested with potential first customers to understand and inform our development process.
Armed with a confirmed hypothesis, and the learnings from multiple customer interviews and user tests, I was able to get stakeholder buy-in to move forward with the complete redesign.
We were able to ship the MVP redesign of our React web and iOS mobile applications in >3 months and saw immediate results. The new feature set added $1+ million in top-line revenue, a 433 percent jump YoY. The sales team was also able to shift focus to Enterprise deals, increasing their average deal size from $4,000 to $10,000+ over the same period.

Covidsupplies.NYC Website

Built website linking hospitals needing PPE with open 3D printers. 8,750+ face shields shipped and $50,000 raised.

As the covid-19 pandemic picked up speed in the US, it was evident that there was a shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE) for hospitals in the NYC area.
We built Covidsupplies.NYC to link healthcare organizations in need of personal protective equipment (“PPE”) with on-demand 3D printing in the NYC area. So far, this project has produced and shipped 8,750+ face shields to 100+ hospitals and raised $50,000+.
My role was to lead user tests with doctors and health care organizations and then build the website and requisite functionality to securely link organizations in need with local manufacturers able to produce face shields. While user-testing with doctors and nurses, it was clear that this needed to be a mobile-first experience, and it needed to be secure and straightforward to submit a request for supplies.
I used Sketch for the initial designs, and WordPress and Elementor Pro to build the website. I went with Typeform for the form inputs and Zapier for email automation. The entire MVP was scoped and launched in under one week. With this lightweight tech stack, we were able to implement changes based on rolling feedback from the healthcare organizations on the fly.

3DPrinterOS - Launch of Cloud Operating System for 3D Printing

Defined and executed on the roadmap, user stories, go-to-market strategy to ship platform used to create 1.3+ million parts.

The challenge we set out to solve was the standardization of operating systems and workflows for 3D printing. As part of the founding team, I pitched as part of the seed raise and wore the many hats necessary to take this project from idea to reality.

I led the customer research and user tests with Fortune 500 companies and educational institutions to understand the issues they faced before the launch of our cloud operating system. The issues highlighted during the discovery process informed the product roadmap, MVP feature backlog, and initial user stories.

During the MVP build process, I drove all agile ceremonies, such as daily standups, sprint planning, and sprint reviews, with our team of 21 internationally distributed engineers. I built prototypes to test the onboarding process with prospective users and used the knowledge gained to create in-app messaging, tutorials, and walkthroughs to improve the onboarding process.

In analyzing our metrics post-launch, I was able to identify and guide the team to build low development, high-yield features that led to the first $500,000 in ARR. The platform now has 100,000+ users and has powered the production of 1.3+ million parts in 100+ countries.
