- Analyzed the total cost of ownership for a new global search engine tool.
- Provided solution recommendations for improvements to core IT system design and performed data assessment to streamline and improve the SOA environment and data quality.
Architecture Analyst
Consulting for Major UK Retailer
- Joined the team for a £56 million IT-led transformation project phase in the final months of high-level design to support a team of seven solution architects. Delivered on time and supported an extensive review/governance cycle.
- Produced and reviewed the architectural artifacts and elements of solution architecture documents (SADs).
- Managed the architecture review process, which involved over 100 individual reviewers. This included coordinating workshops, collating over 1,000 individual items of feedback, and managing the architecture team to ensure it was incorporated.
- Collated of non-functional requirements for the project, and managed the sign-off process with both IT and the business.
- Created a traceability matrix for the project, which involved mapping 300 use cases to individual architectural building blocks (ABBs)–required as an input to detailed design.
- Provided support to project managers for workstream reporting and management of the low–level plan and architecture milestones. Coordinated resource planning and task allocation to ensure the team was fully utilized.
- Coordinated architecture and business analysis teams to ensure a joined-up approach to the delivery of high-level design and business requirements.
Portfolio Analyst
Consulting for Major UK Retailer
- Acted as an analyst within the client IT PMO supporting an in-flight portfolio of over 60 projects. I supported the implementation of a new PPM tool and guided teams to ensure adoption across a community of over 100 project managers.
- Developed and managed a portfolio-wide RAID log, producing a dashboard for consumption by the whole IT directorate, informing them of the corporate risk management strategy.
- Conducted periodic end-to-end portfolio audits to assess the compliance of projects to the IT operating model, reporting findings to the CIO.
