Project History
  • WBTVD
Orchestrated the development of Media Excellence Award-winning television media distribution portal, WBTVD.

On this project, I was responsible for delivering a custom CMS, an improved media ingestion platform, and an engaging sales portal for Warner Bros. worldwide television marketing division. The solution we provided included a React front end with streaming video built on top of an updated Oracle DB, complete with Elasticsearch to allow network executives to quickly search for the content they wish to purchase.

I championed all development processes, such as adapting Agile to best fit the WB teams, defining the development pipeline, status reporting, and release process. We provided an integrated solution that allowed the television marketing division to absorb the development and management of many other Warner Bros products, streamlining expensive business operations.

  • 10-4 Freight Portal
Led the development of the 10-4 Freight Portal, an online freight tracking solution accounting for 95% of annual revenue.

For this project I ran point on the conception, design, development, and release of logistics tracking solution that displayed up to the second shipment locations on a map.

I collaborated with the CEO, CTO, and lead designer to define product strategy and transform high-level product vision into actionable technical specifications. This solution was the catalyst for attracting investors to the growing startup, leading to Trimble's acquisition of 10-4 Systems.

  • UICC Transition
Spearheaded the engineering effort in Sprint's transition from on network authentication to USIM UICC network authentication.

For this project, Sprint was moving away from their legacy CDMA network to their 4G LTE network. To better align with industry standards for LTE networks, Sprint needed to move the network authentication off the device and onto the UICC SIM card.

This transition impacted over 140 functional areas, each of which required technical impact assessments to determine how the network authentication would be accessed. I led the effort to identify and evaluate UICC hardware manufactures as well as secure purchase contracts from suppliers.

  • Regulation E and NACHA Compliance
Led delivery of improved fund transfer authorization, capture, and storage, enabling USAA to achieve regulatory compliance.

On this project, we built a new interface process to clearly state what actions the member authorized USAA to take as well created new document generation to provide historical record of the member's authorization.

As the development product owner, I led the development architecture and translation of business requirements into detailed technical specifications. I also identified a key inefficiency in the document generation process, reducing document generation requests by over 99% while still maintaining evidence of the member's authorization.

  • NASCAR Sprint Cup Wallpapers
Conceived, proposed, and led the development of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Wallpapers mobile application.

For this project, I was tasked with identifying revenue generating opportunities within Sprint's digital media services. I identified an opportunity for Sprint to leverage unused race-day photos as mobile wallpapers.

This work included securing buy-in from my director and marketing lead, defining the business and technical requirements, and leading the development and release while working under limited budget and a tight deadline.
