Ibotta Direct Integration with Walmart

Led the product development of an API-based integration to receive purchase transaction data from Walmart. The end result was our app users could redeem rewards at Walmart and receive rewards within minutes instead of having to upload a receipt.

In 2021 Ibotta entered into a strategic partnership with Walmart. The first phase of this partnership was delivering a new integration, which enabled Ibotta app users to link their Walmart account to their Ibotta account and receive rewards within minutes of checking out at Walmart. I led the product and engineering teams and partnered closely with Walmart to deliver the integration on time while meeting all technical requirements.

Open Data Access Feature for AWS Supply Chain

Led the customer insights acquisition and requirements definition for a feature to enable customers to create custom analysis and data visualizations using their supply chain data.

AWS Supply Chain is a cloud-based application that unifies data, provides ML-powered actionable insights, and offers built-in contextual collaboration. The most requested feature from customers was having access to their raw data so they could create customized analyses and supply chain insights. I interviewed customers directly and the go-to-market team and worked with engineering to define the feature requirements, then created a roadmap, defined a beta program, and worked with the initial customers to get them onboarded.

New UI/UX Definition at Oracle

Led the definition and development of a new UI from the ground up, replacing an existing command-line only interface.

SAM-QFS was a legacy product at Oracle, and to introduce it to new markets, a brand new user interface built from the ground up was required.

I led the customer research to determine how the interface should be presented and prioritized the product's existing features, functionality, and reporting capability. This prioritization determined the requirements delivered to engineering that defined which features should be left out of the new UI, which needed to be at the forefront, and which needed to be included but were not accessible via the main screens.

Pivot3 Cloud Edition Software Release

Led the customer research, product strategy, and product definition for the Pivot3 Cloud Edition software, the first hyper-converged software to run in the public cloud, and won three new enterprise customers.

Pivot3 hyperconverged software traditionally ran only in a VMWare environment on-premises. The company wanted to give customers the ability to run workloads in the public cloud and move them back and forth between the cloud and their own datacenters.

I led the effort to interview and survey customers to determine the key features needed for the initial release and performed trade and market studies to select AWS as the public cloud that would be supported. I then worked with engineering to develop the architecture, determine which features were critical for the Cloud Edition, and then coordinated with marketing, PR, doc support, test, and other cross-function groups to take the new product to market.

Creation of Real Estate Investing Education Courses

Created and sold several real estate investing education courses, which achieved $200,000 in new sales to individual investors.

The Note Launchpad online training course teaches students how to invest in and profit from distressed mortgage notes. The course sells for $1997 and has just over 100 students. It and other courses contain over 30 hours of training videos, PDF handouts, spreadsheets, and calculators students use to find, analyze, and close new deals.
