In order to build compelling experiences on WeChat, I worked with startups and brands to design chat experiences whereby the user could access the brands/start-ups value proposition.

Voting Dapp was demoed at Devcon 4 and is been used by Status.im to bring token holders into decision making.

The voting dapp (decentralized application) was built using smart contracts and react.js. Work was done to minimize the amount of Ethereum to use the application by a factor of 10 as well as creating a front end application which could detect the user's state and navigate them to success.

A significant effort in user experience testing was done to ensure that the dapp was usable. Constant co-ordination was leverage to make sure the product was constantly shipping updates.

Embedded Streaming Music Player

The first region to create and ship an embeddable web player.

This product allowed third parties to create a playlist and embedded a player in their websites. This led to an increase in application sign-ups.

Lucky Money

Increased retention and daily active users of WeChat Wallet which saw it become the most used mobile wallet in South Africa

Lucky Money was a product based on Behavioral economic research. Every time a user made a QR code payment they would receive a percentage of money back into their WeChat Wallet. This product was more efficient and cost-effective in driving usage than traditional marketing. This product used behavioral economics and artificial intelligence extensively.

The WeChat Wallet included a digital store of value, card processing, KYC flow, P2P send, QR code payments, airtime and electricity merchants as well as promotional eCommerce experiences.
