Project History

CI/CD Pipeline Automation for PaaS App Deployment

https://github.com/goehmen/gorez

Developed an automated release process showcasing various Pivotal products such as Cloud Foundry, Concourse, and Pivotal Web Services.

This app demonstrates a CI/CD release deployment triggered by a Git commit. The commit triggers the packaging of release assets and deployment to a cloud platform that is 100% automated with no human interaction once the Git commit happens.

The CI/CD pipeline is Concourse at github.com/concourse/concourse. This basic HTML/CSS app runs on Cloud Foundry on Pivotal Web Services (PWS) at run.pivotal.io.

Now that Broadcom has acquired VMware, which itself acquired Pivotal in 2019, PWS may not be publicly facing.

Consumer Card Transaction Controls

https://developer.visa.com/capabilities/vctc

Built a Credit/Debit/Prepaid Card Controls and Alerts feature set and globally implemented it across card-issuing banks, fintech companies, and other financial institutions.

Visa Transaction Controls (VTC) offers issuers a variety of block and alert capabilities, the exact features and functionality of which they can then select, configure, and present to their cardholders. VTC blocks and alerts are extremely flexible and designed to work together or be used independently of each other as standalone features, with different thresholds triggering their use.

RESULTS
• Increased revenue by 65.8% AANR year-over-year growth rate over four years.
• Managed 54+ million enrolled cards, four billion annual card transaction authorizations, and two billion API calls.

Random Dad Joke Generator

https://s7it4hj5mj.execute-api.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/prod-goehmen/

Demonstrated API Gateway functionality to the engineering team by creating a lightweight app on AWS that handled client traffic and entertained visitors with dad jokes.

The intention was to have the engineering team create a simulator that made N number of parallel calls to the endpoint so that we could collectively examine the impact on back-end services on AWS as traffic entered through API Gateway.
