Project History

Family Childcare Centers

Led the requirements design and development to enhance Care.com's back-up care network to include a new type of supply, family childcare centers.

Care.com's B2B business enables employers to provide their staff with back-up care when other options are not available. We added partners to our back-up care network and provided more options, expanding the types of centers in our network to include family childcare centers, which enabled us to meet both goals.

To successfully execute this initiative, we made changes across the full stack, including the user-facing request flow, data model to record the type of center, and operations tools to capture center information and client preferences. This project led to an increased conversion rate of the request flow, as more users were able to find an option that satisfied their needs.
