Babbel is a German premium subscription-based language learning software and e-learning platform, available in various languages since January 2008, and today one of the top-grossing language learning ecosystems.

I devised the product strategy with the C-level during the yearly planning period and followed an approach that included diagnosis, guiding policy, strategic scenarios, product strategy, product roadmap, and OKRs.

OKR Management Process

Served as a key results owner of the company's three yearly objectives, devised and implemented a method to assess confidence and process towards the objective, and implemented it across the entire product organization.

The implemented process enabled the C-level to understand all product initiatives, how they contribute to product OKRs, and how overall OKR confidence is affected. This allowed product leads to have a future-looking view and be proactive about roadmap changes to maximize the outcome.

Cloud Architecture Implementation on AWS

Managed the design, implementation, and delivery of the entire back-end cloud architecture to unlock new capabilities in the B2B and B2B2C space for one of the world's largest service providers.

As head of the program for digital transformation, I was tasked to bring about new capabilities by leveraging cloud architecture, enabling the company to unlock new analytics capabilities, implementing machine learning projects, and upgrading the software service offering.

I started by designing the back-end cloud architecture, consisting of ingestion platforms, data lakes, data warehouses, and different scalable and price-efficient services. Using the RFP process that I implemented, we selected Microsoft Azure and AWS as the two preferred vendors. Then, we tested the architecture on both platforms by running simulations and live projects and assessed the performance based on speed, capabilities, privacy, security, scalability, and SLA. Eventually, we selected AWS and started a partial cloud migration that consisted of all BI reporting, new machine learning projects, and future software solutions in B2B and B2B2C spaces.
