Championed and led the relaunch of the mobile app for wagering on horse racing despite skepticism to deliver top line growth.

The relaunch led to write-ups in industry rags, significantly enhanced user experience of a complex workflow, increased and noticeable engagement from users, and eventually an expansion in wagering opportunities and led to the increase of mobile wagering from less than 0.1% of revenue to become over 10% of the total. Originally this idea was met with management skepticism since the original mobile app had performed poorly but an in-depth analysis, consumer research, and product instinct had me convinced that this was a missed opportunity. I rant the idea by an innovative engineer and we came up with new user experience and clickable prototype and ran it by horse-wagering aficionados in the company who were thrilled with it. Then we were able to generate excitement and get the resources to build and launch it. Marketing gave us a little bit of exposure on the website and web app and once bettors found it, adoption took off. Within a few months, it had surpassed all expectations. It got written up as a leading app in industry rags, and we were able to enhance our marketing with compelling customer testimonials.
