Project History

Tipico New Mobile App

Led the product and technology teams in building a brand new sports betting app that would become #1 in the German-speaking market.

Developed the number one sports betting app in the German market. 85% of the total online revenue generated came through the app. Saw over a million total active customers yearly. Built for Android, iOS stores, and mobile web. The build was split into two phases, phase 1: Front end (UI/UX) overhaul, phase 2: Split the monolith into a series of microservices for better control over the system.

Planned and managed the product and technology projects to ensure that Hotjar was fully compliant—all within four months.

Hotjar is an analytics and user feedback tracking tool, which was not fully compliant with the proposed GDPR regulations. I led the team that brought Hotjar to become compliant with GDPR, specifically through the suppression of data pertaining to user activity when tracking their mouse movements. This included the ability to confirm consent from site visitors prior to them leaving feedback. We also created a self-service portal for customers to enter their details and receive a report with all the data that was stored on them. It also enabled visitors to delete or edit their data.

New Hotjar Product: Incoming Feedback

Introduced a new product at Hotjar called Incoming Feedback. Within three months, it became the most popular tool used by Hotjar customers.

Incoming Feedback is the latest product from Hotjar, which allows visitors on your site to highlight an area and leave feedback based on their experience. This was particularly useful for collecting feedback on new prototypes or beta test products and pages, highlighting bugs and areas that don't work properly, and keeping a pulse check on the overall sentiment from the customer base when using the product.
