Project History

Enterprise Agile Software Development Capability

Formed, coached, and led multiple agile product teams towards the goal of developing an agile software development capability within a defense context.

Defense organizations frequently employ Waterfall methodologies to deploy software. Formed, coached, and led three agile teams towards demonstrating Agile delivery methods within a typical Waterfall enterprise environment.

The initiative involved product lines aimed at delivering value to end-users in the aviation asset management domain while establishing and demonstrating DevOps-supported agile software development pipelines.

Performed onboarding of all team members of product teams. Established Scrum practices, coached product owners, and provided ongoing scrum master support to each team. Built relationships with stakeholders during initial product establishment and facilitated design sprints and design thinking workshops for early generation and validation of user stories.

Facilitated the development of relevant enterprise security and architecture documentation to support the development of all software products.

The project demonstrated the release of updates and features in the space of weeks and months compared to the typical years it typically took to release software.
