  • Made recommendations for changes to acquired products' architectures in order to radically reduce technical debt in favor of 3rd party/cloud-native services. Total lines-of-code reduction of 70-90% was not uncommon.
  • Authored epics, set milestones, and determined acceptance criteria to achieve recommended architectural changes.

Senior Principal Product Manager

Lyfevest.io

Did all the work including product-market fit, design, development, marketing to launch the startup marketplace.

Having spent 12 years in the enterprise developer space with two leading tech companies, I identified a business problem common to many of my customers. Ideating on potential solutions and market testing each iteration by interviewing potential customers, eventually, a viable approach was determined. I created a solution and a company around it, working alone for 8 months before partnering with a co-founder.

OpenShift.io

Led product design of Red Hat's developer-focused SaaS, launching this free service to hundreds of thousands of developers.

Red Hat recruited me from Microsoft, where I had an established track record for understanding the needs of enterprise development teams, in order to consolidate their developer offerings under a new division. I proposed an 'end-to-end' development team SaaS, pitched the idea to the executive team, and upon approval, led the design and launch of the service.

The service was well received by both the press and end-users, with positive mentions in places such as Hacker News and TheNewStack.io. Subscribers quickly flocked to the service, leading to tremendous day-one sign-ups and healthy double-digit MoM growth thereafter.
