Urban Ninja Food Delivery Service

Launched and managed the back end for Urban Ninja's iOS and Android apps.

I managed over 25 developers, testers, and designers across three teams to build and launch a food delivery service, the first of its kind in Spain. The service was later acquired by Foodpanda, expanded to 40+ countries, and achieved over 300,000 orders per month.

Long-term Apartment Rental Service

Designed and led the development of a new long-term apartment rental business line, launching within a strict one-month contractual deadline.

This project involved leading the creation and successful launch of a new long-term apartment rental business line within a challenging one-month contractual deadline. I developed an MVP strategy to deliver essential features precisely when needed.

The project required us to create software capable of publishing apartments on the company website, guest screening processes, new business rules for long-term rentals, updated contracts to meet legal requirements, and specific reporting functionalities.

ERP Migration

Designed and led the integration and deployment of solutions for taxing, invoicing, and settlement within the existing ERP.

I led the integration and deployment of tax, invoicing, and settlement solutions within a 3rd-party ERP for a custom-built apartment rental platform. I managed internal developers and the ERP integrator to address complex tax requirements, depending on renter type, rental purpose, guest status, and services included. The solutions empowered the finance team to configure tax rules independently, reducing dependency on engineering resources. Additionally, we automated invoicing and payment processes, reducing manual work and significantly improving operational efficiency.

Restaurant Order Notification Application

Personally developed the initial iterations of a C# restaurant order notification app.

I developed the initial iterations of the application to address issues with physical remote printers. I selected ClickOnce for distribution, enabling centralized update management for approximately 6,000 restaurants.
In addition, I contributed to the app's evolution over two years after building a dedicated team. The solution evolved into a Cordova framework to maintain access to Windows native functionalities while extending compatibility to iOS and Android.

La Nevera Roja Online Marketplace Development and Expansion

Led the development and scaling of La Nevera Roja's online marketplace, mobile apps, and back-office systems, achieving exponential growth and a successful exit.

I led the end-to-end development of La Nevera Roja's online food delivery marketplace, playing a central role in building and scaling the platform. I managed the development expansion from a single software engineer to over 25 professionals in two years. We implemented Scrum, peer code reviews, unit testing, formal QA, and issue-tracking processes to support this rapid expansion.

In addition, I directed the redesign of the back-end architecture to ensure the platform could handle significant growth, scaling from a few thousand to millions of monthly users. La Nevera Roja was later acquired, marking one of Spain's most considerable startup exits.

Automated a booking process, enabling guests to book apartments independently.

This project involved designing and developing a software solution to enable customers to book apartments independently, creating the business plan, and managing its development and testing. Due to the specificities of mid-term apartment rentals, the previous process required manual intervention by agents to approve customer requests.

The automated process incorporated all necessary business rules and included provisions to adjust system behavior for high and low-demand seasons. Over time, autonomous apartment rentals became the rule for all bookings, freeing agents to focus on after-sales service.

Phone Usage Analysis for Enhanced Service Decision-making

Leveraged call records to identify customer phone models, revealing untapped potential for high-end services and enabling data-driven decisions, improved service approvals, and self-service reporting tools.

I identified a gap in customer phone capabilities that hindered new service launches. Existing assumptions relied on sales data, suggesting most users had low-end phones. Cross-referencing call detail records (CDRs) with a phone model database revealed a significantly higher number of high-end devices.

The analysis led to more approved service recommendations and insights on brand loyalty and phone upgrade cycles. I developed a user interface allowing departments to generate queries and reports independently, enhancing customer understanding and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
