  • Rationalized operations by implementing service level indicator (SLI) and service level objectives (SLO) and extending the model to the rest of the organization and customers, reducing MTTR by 80%.
  • Migrated all everilion infrastructure from private to public cloud introducing improvements and achieving 50% annual cost reduction.

  • Led delivery for the FT Adviser and Investors Chronicle, part of FTs Specialist Titles business unit, fixing delivery problems in six months and bringing together teams in London and Manila.
  • Delivered the Authentication Stream for the FT Membership program. I started taking traffic in just two months for authorization (AuthZ). We built a flexible and sophisticated service to control the allocation of content.
  • Delivered full authentication (AuthN) migration to an external platform, launching Social Login, and taking auth totally off the legacy platform no longer fit for purpose. This entailed cleaning data for over eight million users and moving them over.
  • Promoted to program lead for specialist titles taking responsibility for delivery of around 21 different projects with internal and third-party resources.
  • Grew the program from eight people and a sub-million CapEx budget to over 20 resources and over 2.5 million CapEx budget in two years.

I delivered the AuthZ layer for the bank after the team achieved little traction before my time. I also coordinated with early adopter teams across the globe.

The project was a strategic initiative to secure thousands of APIs created by dozens of different teams worldwide. This was also the first project compliant with the bank's new risk and security framework.

FT Specialist Titles Replatforming and CMS Migration

Delivered the replatforming to AWS and won the business case for consolidating the diverse specialist titles websites to a single CMS platform resulting in over 50% savings and increased business satisfaction.

I was promoted to program lead for specialist titles taking responsibility for the delivery of around 21 different projects with internal and third-party resources. I also grew the program from eight people and sub-million capital expenditures (CapEx) budget to over 20 resources and a 2.5 million CapEx budget in two years, illustrating the confidence generated in the business.

New Generation Authentication for Financial Times

Migrated all the authentication from legacy application to the external platform.

I initially managed a team of eight to perform a technical assessment of different solutions. We transferred all non-paying users to the new platform reducing demands on the legacy by 70%. After doing so, we cleaned and migrated paying customers.

Discovery Phase for HMRC

Designed a discovery phase for HMRC as part of the delivery for one of the world's most significant big data implementations.

In six months, I established relationships with HMRC's different branches, brought them together, and secured resources from each of them for the duration of the discovery phase. After reorganization, it was successfully handed over to HMRC Delivery Center in Manchester, which could continue with the discovery after all the preparation had been done.
