Insurance Billing Web Application

Launched and maintained a web-based billing application.

Led a cross-functional team to create a multi-functional web application intended for internal employee workflows and agent billing.

Joining mid-project, I worked closely with business stakeholders, developers, quality assurance, business analysts, and executives to restore confidence in the project and lead in a project-rescue.

Key responsibilities included collaborating with subject matter experts to determine where the project deviated from the defined requirements and determine which previously defined requirements were not valid. Assisted the development team to remove impediments, clarify workflows, and resolve issues. Met daily with quality assurance analysts to validate issues and to ensure regular smooth production releases. Provided executive updates regularly and coordinated with our help desk to provide second-level support as needed.

NextGen Financial Trading Platform

Led the launch of a web-based financial trading platform.

Acted as the scrum master for a complex team consisting of five co-located teams of developers and two remote teams of developers spanning three time zones to launch a new web application that facilitated complex stock transactions and provided for financial account openings.

Key responsibilities included acting as liaison with our product owner team to design productive sprints. Provided regular updates with the executive leadership team. Led iterative releases that introduced multiple third-party integrations. Coordinated work between co-located and remote teams with daily updates and individual deadlines between them.

Created New Project Management Office

Established a new internal project management office.

Lead the effort to expand our internal project management team from just me to a full team. This included candidate selection, onboarding, process refinement and documentation, the establishment of new tools and workflows, and project delegation.

Flagship Fintech Platform

Led teams to maintain and upgrade our applications.

Collaborated with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, developers, and executive leadership to maintain and upgrade our flagship application and provide support for our legacy platforms.
