Project History

Contracts Lifecycle App

Spearheaded the development and launch of a minimum viable product (MVP) to help a contract team of a PEO quickly onboard new clients.

This cloud-based mobile-first app helps the contract team of a PEO speed up the onboarding process. After the launch, the company accelerated clients' onboarding process from 40 to 10 days on average.

During this nine-month-long project, I managed 16 people working on four different projects, including product discovery, contracts app, pricing engine, and data lake implementation.

The client did not have experience with Agile processes, so I acted as an agile coach to implement the agile mindset and convince them that this approach is ideal for managing and implementing big and complex projects.

Satisfied by his excellent experience with this program, the client also employed the Agile methodology in his internal projects.

Industry 4.0 Enablement for Food Industry

Supervised the industry 4.0 enablement program for one of the biggest food companies in the world.

Oversaw three teams with over 19 members, including software engineers, solution architects, QA engineers, and business analysts, that launched slaughterhouse, warehouse, and processed food management.

When I joined the company, the client was about to cancel the project due to considerable scope, schedule, and relationship issues. After a detailed analysis, I prepared KPI and diagnosis reports to demonstrate to my managers that the program was unfeasible within the existing budget, scope, and schedule constraints.

We proceeded by putting in place a massive go-green plan based on frequent deliveries, client collaboration, prioritization, and an MVP approach that allowed us to recover the client's trust. We did not achieve everything the client requested, but we delivered software modules that provided value and encouraged them to proceed with the program.

BlueCore Global MES Template - Beiersdorf

Spearheaded the implementation of a global manufacturing execution system (MES) platform successfully in three different countries.

After successfully leading and managing the implementation of a global MES platform in Brazil, Chile, and Argentina, I trained an implementation team to roll out the platform in the USA, China, Thailand, and Indonesia.

This product is based on the C# and SQL Server web application, and its legal requirements had to be validated according to GAMP 5 and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 regulations.

The team had nine people at the allocation spike, including front-end and back-end developers, system validation specialists, tech writers, and a DevOps engineer.

The client initially requested to implement an MES platform at his Brazilian site. However, after the exceptional success of a previous project, we continued working together to structure the platform as a global template that could be rolled out to other production sites.

The platform includes implementing features like the multilanguage front end, configurable business rules, integration middleware, implementation and validation guides, processes, and practices to help other teams implement the template in other manufacturing sites worldwide.

Launched and managed several releases of the existing Wheel of Fortune website.

I oversaw a team of four professionals, including a software engineer, QA engineer, UX designer, and product owner, working on a nine-month-long project to release updates on the website using Drupal, React, and AWS. Moreover, I managed the Kanban board helping with the prioritization and refinement of user stories and bugs tickets.

The MVP phase took one year. I joined when the project was about to be canceled by the client, given lots of issues with the budget, schedule, scope, and human resources.

Applying an approach based on transparency and collaboration with the client, we were able to turn the tables and deliver a product that brought confidence back and encouraged the client to stay with us for the rollout phase.
