Project History

ERP Implementation Project for National Non-profit Hospital System

Standardized the ERP systems of 11 hospital systems dispersed across the United States, maximizing operational efficiencies, reducing operating costs, and improving the quality of care and services provided to patients.

This project was a major business transformation effort executed over six years, involving more than 300 project team members, and with an investment of more than $360 million dollars. I joined the project as a PMO analyst and quickly moved up to become the deployment team manager. Upon joining the deployment team, I identified manual processes and automated them using Excel VBA, freeing-up time for myself and my team to focus on more value-added activities such as improving our master release checklist's quality and content. I worked across all functional teams to coordinate critical project activities, lead weekly status reporting meetings, and report progress to key project stakeholders.

Oracle HCM Cloud Implementation with UnitedHealth Group

Identified requirements, designed, configured, tested, and deployed the Oracle HCM Cloud: Compensation module using a coexistence strategy with PeopleSoft HR for UnitedHealth Group.

As a project manager, I worked directly with the client program manager to create a high-level roadmap outlining the planned iterations of development work required to design, configure, and test the compensation plans. I monitored development progress work through burn down charts and weekly status reporting. I wrote and executed 150+ unit test cases to validate that the configured features meet expectations.

Agile Software Development Project with Banco Popular

Added new features and functionalities to a pre-existing on-premises software solution to ensure compatibility and optimization for Puerto Rico-based end users.

As a scrum master, I worked with a geographically distributed product team, including a product manager and developer in Puerto Rico and two developers in Chicago. I organized the discovery phase and interviewed key stakeholders to understand their needs, define user personas, and write user stories. I worked with the product team to manage the product backlog through Microsoft DevOps and conducted daily scrum touch-points through two sprints.
