    2017 - 2018
    • Managed project to migrate customer credit card information to new, Australian server. Involved liaising with Worldpay to coordinate activities, influencing international stakeholders to accept migration and ensuring PCI compliance.
    • Contributed to the implementation of a recruitment module for global HR Management System. Communicated with international stakeholders to map processes, gather requirements, and ensure the solution was suitable for their country or region.
    • Provided regular reports and documentation to Director-level stakeholders. Involved writing Feasibility papers to gain approval of third-party integrations, providing highlight reports and steering committee papers for review and acceptance.
    • Orchestrated website launches for several of our global loations. Used web analytics to determine which pages were most and least successful with customers/donators.

  • Recruitment System
    Delivered a recruitment system for 280+ staff and 50+ users. Stepped up to cover Manager for UK rollout.

    Identified a business need for a recruitment system to manage the increasing volume of applications. Ran tender process, selection, and managed rollout in the UK.

  • Production Redesign
    Six Sigma business analysis of a production team. Achieved £1000s in cost-savings due to in-sourcing and reduced temp usage.

    Carried out analysis of a team producing training materials ("Packs") for educational teaching events.

    Reviewed monthly production figures to determine high and low periods of demand. Also determined the average number of Packs created per month per team member.

    This allowed me to create a monthly average of Packs produced per team member per month. I was able to demonstrate that, even at peak times, the team should be able to operate with no more than 4 people. As a result, fewer temps were used.

    This analysis led to a restructuring of the team to achieve long-term cost-savings. I created the necessary restructuring documents and worked with another team within the business to incorporate elements of the production process into their own existing processes.

    The result was a yearly cost-saving of £50,000+ due to a reduction in headcount and from efficiencies gained from the "in-sourcing" of other related processes.

  • Regulatory Database
    Created a database of educational consultants, flagging those who may have had access to secure test materials.

    A project to ensure regulatory compliance with Ofqual, the qualifications regulator in England.

    Any consultant who provides training for a qualification in England cannot have had access to drafts of any secure test materials prior to delivering training in the same subject area.

    To ensure Pearson was compliant, I worked with the Training team and with an in-house developer to create a SQL database which flagged any consultant who may have had access to secure materials.

    The process involved initial business analysis and the creation of a Problem Statement, and carrying out Sprint Planning and Sprint Reviews to ensure end-user feedback was heard and incorporated into future iterations.

    Using one-week sprints over a six week period, we created the database and achieved acceptance from the Training team.

  • Financial Transaction Migration
    Migrated 200+ recurring financial transactions from the US and Australia to a new server

    To achieve better value for money, I oversaw the migration of recurring financial transactions to a new server.

    Transactions represented 55% of total revenue and required close involvement of international stakeholders at Director level.

    The project required liaising with Worldpay and Stripe to understand the ramifications of transferring payments and to ensure the ongoing integrity of the payments.

    After identifying an in-house server which could host the payments, I worked with the project team to make sure the payments had been transferred correctly.

    We also worked with a developer to design a bespoke management portal to allow backend users to manage and amend any payee details in the future.
