This was a very large and complex program that involved the replacement of the entire OSS/BSS stack of a telecom service provider. The project was initiated by the customer CTO to improve the productivity of ongoing development work on the stack by 25%.

Tasks Accomplished:
• Managed the program after customer technical architects delivered a POC (proof of concept).
• Created a development team that, at its peak, had ten development managers and 80 developers.
• Analyzed complex business processes and created the replacement of the existing stack with new components step by step.
• Ensured that the old and new stack were in sync during the development of the new stack. This was very important as business-critical features were being added to the old stack, except for the last three months of the program.

Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO)

Worked jointly with customer business leads to identify the scope of the project and managed the eventual delivery.

The customer wanted to become a mobile service provider without building their network (basically renting other telco networks).

Worked with five different departments to identify the data that was needed to be consolidated, identified the data sources, managed a team of six developers to deliver the project ahead of schedule

The project involved the consolidation of data from various departments and applications like CRM, billing, network data, network inventory, network topology, raw call data, and so on. The project aimed at creating many reports for marketing and finance teams.

I managed the team of 5-6 developers to complete the MVP of the app and helped with payment gateway integration (Paytm and Stripe).

eCommerce Reorganization

Helped the client to move from gig workers to a long-term team while introducing an agile process (scrum).

The client was working with 30-35 gig freelancers to build Shopify stores.
I helped the client to move from this arrangement to working with long-term vendors. I proposed a model where the client provided customer-facing and QA skills while low-cost agencies do the store building.
To achieve these goals, I defined the PM processes that both the client and agencies will follow. I created a detailed technical SOP that agencies will follow to complete store development. I also created a vendor selection checklist and helped the client select the first set of vendors.
