• Owned technology selection. Chose to go with native iOS and Android apps with reusable microservices on the back end.

The project was launched to create a product for technical analysis and data visualization of Indian stock market data.

• Identified technical requirements and documented user stories.
• Selected the technology stack for the platform (React, Java, and MySQL).
• Created the first backlog for the product.
• Worked with the developers to complete the first MVP.
• Developed the buy/sell call algorithm.

• Managed the Google cloud deployment of the platform.
• Owned the management of the product backlog and estimation.

This was a very large and complex program that involved the replacement of the entire OSS/BSS stack of a telecom service provider. The project was initiated by the customer CTO to improve the productivity of ongoing development work on the stack by 25%.

Tasks Accomplished:
• Managed the program after customer technical architects delivered a POC (proof of concept).
• Created a development team that, at its peak, had ten development managers and 80 developers.
• Analyzed complex business processes and created the replacement of the existing stack with new components step by step.
• Ensured that the old and new stack were in sync during the development of the new stack. This was very important as business-critical features were being added to the old stack, except for the last three months of the program.

The customer wanted to become a mobile service provider without building their network (basically renting other telco networks).

Tasks Accomplished:
• Worked with the customer business lead to establish a high-level scope.
• Identified new and impacted business processes.
• Suggested process changes to reduce the impact on existing OSS/BSS, which sped up delivery.
• Worked with three development managers, 20 developers, and testers to deliver the OSS/BSS changes in ten weeks.

The project involved the consolidation of data from various departments and applications like CRM, billing, network data, network inventory, network topology, raw call data, and so on. The project aimed at creating many reports for marketing and finance teams.

• Worked with the company founder to understand the goals, abilities of the existing, team, and recommended technology stack suitable for achieving the goals.
• Defined the MVP scope, detailed user stories for the MVP.
• Managed development of MVP till completion so that founders can seek a first round of funding.
• Developed the location-based search module.
• Helped in the design of a minimal dispute resolution module.
• Helped with payment gateway integration (PayTM, Stripe).
• Advised the founders on mobile strategy and how it can be achieved using the recommended technology stack.

I created user stories by translating the business requirement into technical requirements, selected the tech stack, and helped the company founder in the hiring of developers. I managed the team of 5-6 developers to complete the MVP of the app and helped with payment gateway integration (Paytm and Stripe).

The client was working with 30-35 gig freelancers to build Shopify stores.
I helped the client to move from this arrangement to working with long-term vendors. I proposed a model where the client provided customer-facing and QA skills while low-cost agencies do the store building.
To achieve these goals, I defined the PM processes that both the client and agencies will follow. I created a detailed technical SOP that agencies will follow to complete store development. I also created a vendor selection checklist and helped the client select the first set of vendors.
