Project Manager/Scrum Master for Managing Animal Health in Cattle Farms

Led an animal health project to deliver a quality management system to help ranch owners manage their cattle and sustenance using the scrum framework.

The project is a quality management system that focused on providing consumers a way to improve how their beef is raised and cared for.
The program focuses on three main pillars:
1) Cattle care
2) Food safety
3) Sustainability

We assisted in the building of a mobile app that helped ranch owners manage their ranches and cattle. It identified processes being followed and administrative support to add new clients and ranches. We followed the scrum framework to deliver functionality at every sprint, helped the team conduct daily scrum sessions, and organize scrum reviews and retrospectives.

Coordinated the product releases involving technical and user acceptance testing activities, ensuring the required documentation was in place (traceability matrixes and testing reports), and created final release reports. I created and monitored the technical processes for code reviews and delivery, and designed the manual and automated testing strategy.

The project was a healthcare solution that involved clinic setup and doctor and patient onboarding. The doctor could request lab tests which the patient would need to do. The doctor's office could set up appointments and give out a regimen (medication and lifestyle changes, exercises). The patient could update the regimen daily to give the doctor an updated view of the patient's condition.

The team was organized from a strong matrix organization where team members were assigned to the project. We followed our adaptation of the scrum framework and used various practices to help us deliver the project efficiently.

The team size was composed of 13 professionals; six developers, four testers, a UI specialist, one project manager/scrum master, and a product owner while the director of software services oversaw the project.

The aim of the project was to move the organization's software development from a waterfall approach to agile by forming a strategic planning process, demand management, portfolio management process, PMO processes, development processes, and support and maintenance processes.
