Project History

Healthy Lifestyle App

Enabled and facilitated the continuous delivery of multiple high-priority projects using the Agile methodology and enabled a 26-member multi-platform development team to be self-organized in running their sprint events and solving problems.

This app is a tool developed to change behaviors by motivating people to a healthier lifestyle and rewarding them with a range of lifestyle benefits. I facilitated the definition of processes for the team to enable them to understand how they can apply the Agile methodology. I worked with the CIO, business executives, and stakeholders to unpack and deliver projects using the Agile methods. During this process, I promoted self-organization by helping teams resolve conflicts and stay on track with delivery expectations. The growing understanding of scrum, agility, and servant leadership that I promoted enabled the team to identify improvement areas and solve problems. Part of this process involved teaching and guiding the team on how to run ceremonies, which resulted in members hosting the sessions that I only facilitated. I also coached the team on how to interact and reply to stakeholders effectively. Finally, I served as a product owner for a period of time when the product owner left the team, communicated with stakeholders, including the CIO, delivery managers, and business owners, and drove the management of the delivery and release processes.

Virtual Chatbot

Transitioned the Virtual Chatbot team from Waterfall to Agile through the use of the Scrum framework.

This chatbot was created to reduce support call volumes and provide self-help options to people. I established story mapping as a form of the project discovery process. In order to identify issues sooner and adapt quicker to the new environment, I transitioned a Waterfall team to use the Agile methodology. Also, I taught good backlog refinement practices to allow the team to have work ready for development. Finally, I established pull-based methods of completing work in the development team to enable autonomy, accountability, and self-organization.

Agile Research and Development Project

Trialed design sprint methods to aid the research and development team in formulating products, creating prototypes, and conducting user research to determine desirability.

I engaged with heads of departments in establishing processes to improve products and product development by establishing desirability, feasibility, and viability in sprints before handing over to implementation teams. Also, I drove the use of design sprints to trial the product's discovery, prototyping, and customer experience testing in weekly iterations. Collaborating with executives helped unpack and explore requirements and identify gaps in the product ideas of the research and development team.
