Delivery of an Over-the-top (OTT) Media Application for One of the Largest Production Studios

Delivered back-end services and a client app for an OTT media app on multiple platforms (iOS, Android, web, TVs, game consoles, set-top boxes) across 48 countries and three languages—improved app ratings by 50% within six months of launch.

I managed an over 60-member team spanning multiple internal functions (video processing, content management, middleware, client app development) and three external vendors to deliver a next-generation over-the-top (OTT) media application (including both live channels and video-on-demand content) for one of the largest production studios globally.

The application was rolled out to over 1.5-million paid subscribers across 48 countries (in South America) in three languages. Complexities included managing regional entitlements, regulatory requirements, and customized storefronts for each country.

We also rolled out a "kids" application for the same customer, voted among "Best Applications of the Year" by Apple, Inc.

I was also responsible for delivering the entire solution, executive reporting, escalations, budgeting, and risk management. I ensured the successful transition to the ongoing support team and service level agreement (SLA) compliance throughout the project's lifecycle.

Analysis and Reduction of IT Spending at Husky

Partnered with procurement and finance teams to analyze global IT spending and effected cost savings of $1.3 million—exceeding transformational targets set by management.

I developed an automated framework to integrate with company's ERP system and analyze IT spending globally (across 33 cost centers). My efforts led to identifying opportunities to reduce IT spend by $1.3 million annually, far exceeding the $1 million target set by management.

I set up a centrally managed repository providing visibility into misclassified and recurring spend that could be eliminated and/or renegotiated.
