...project I've built was an engineering team (Tegra) from 1 to over 300 at NVIDIA which is shipped in multiple devices from phones, tablets, and cars.


  • Vice President of Engineering

    2018 - 2019
    • Fixed a distressed startup by cleaning up all processes used in shipping a HaaS (hardware as a service) model.
    • Put into place customer release procedures, quality assurance checks, and bug processes using Jira.
    • Added better communication and documentation using Confluence. Having two sites (Santa Clara, Waterloo) required much better communication across the team.
    • Incorporated performance indicators to measure team output. including bug close-downs, Jenkins regression progress, hardware area, and hardware speed reviews.
    • Conducted code reviews of HLS (C++ for the hardware being used for FPGA development).

    • Built NVIDIA's first Android software and Linux kernel teams.

  • Real-time Low-latency Encoding for Live Video

    A real-time video encoder that can significantly reduce the bitrate of live video with quality levels that matches offline encoded video This is an FPGA image that downloads into various server farms (including Amazon AWS, Huawei Cloud, Tencent, and more) that is also highly scalable.     Voodoo 3D was the first real 3D graphics accelerator for the Windows PC platform. At the time, it was the most sought after card. The card brought capabilities that only a $100,000.00 workstation could achieve at the time.
