The application was divided into a front end using jQuery and Bootstrap and a back end based on Vanilla PHP and MySQL.

The application was set up to receive OTA updates and included a server-side license management system.
The versioning followed the SemVer approach.
Web App to Visualize Statistics on Startup Events of Migrants in Germany

All data is managed in a custom back-end area of the website, where administrators can manage types, places, users, website settings, and the actual data.
All data can be either entered directly on a per place-type-year basis or uploaded as an Excel file.
The aim of the website is to provide the public with valid data that is usually only accessible by direct request to the statistical state offices.
The project is backed by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, and the Federal Agency for Work. The project owner is the Institute for Social Pedagogical Research Mainz (ism).
