Work Experience

Salesforce Business Analyst | Salesforce Solution Architect | Owner

2006 - PRESENT
2nd Wind, Inc.
  • Identified the client’s business needs, requirements, and processes through discovery sessions with the client during a number of Salesforce implementation projects.
  • Documented the client's requirements in user stories and then reviewed the stories with the client for completeness and acceptance.
  • Designed a solution in Salesforce to meet the client's needs and requirements described in the user stories and then obtained client acceptance of the solution.
  • Implemented the designed Salesforce solution using an Agile Scrum process with the full participation of the client; typically using a sandbox for implementation and testing prior to deployment to production.
  • Demonstrated that user stories were completed during each sprint to the client. Provided user acceptance test (UAT) scripts for each story to the client to test.
  • Developed training materials and provided training either as train-the-trainer type or directly to the end-users. Prepared a knowledge-transfer document describing changes made during implementation to the client's Salesforce system administrator.
  • Imported client's historical data, e.g., accounts, contacts, leads, and more into Salesforce.
  • Deployed changes to the client's Salesforce production organization and tested to confirm the organization was working as designed along with providing go-live support.
  • Captured new user stories throughout the project to either complete during the project or to identify future improvements.

Salesforce CPQ Implementation

Implemented Salesforce CPQ for a healthcare company that sells subscriptions to their app for emergency medical responders to calculate drug doses for pediatric patients in the field. My work included setting up CPQ for their subscription business model, including product options, block and discount pricing, and automatic renewal processes using Salesforce's CPQ.

Salesforce CPQ Update

The client's CPQ instance had not been updated for several releases. Here, we updated and tested the CPQ to ensure the client can use the current version and latest CPQ features. This Salesforce organization dates back to 2004; as such, they used a lot of Apex code for their subscription business model. This model needed to be tested for compatibility with the new CPQ release or replaced with Salesforce Workflow, Process Builder or Flows to take advantage of Salesforce's most recent CPQ releases.

Salesforce Implementation for a Grocery Retail Chain

Implemented and Maintained in Salesforce:
• Storage of auditing processes for produce, meat, price checks, code dates, and safety.
• Provided new manager training to facilitate the training of store managers to track new managers' activities as well as which stores they trained in.
• Built a territory System for the director of sales and merchandising.
• Created partner communities to allow third-party auditors to audit stores using Salesforce Mobile.
• Provided extensive reports and dashboards.

Salesforce Service Cloud Implementation

I implemented Salesforce Service Cloud from the FootPrints Ticketing app into an existing Salesforce organization used for sales. I set up custom fields to hold the Footprints data along with the Customer Community for self-service and migrated case data from FootPrints to Salesforce.
