Experience

  • Cyprus Electronic Public Procurement System Migration (Development)
    https://www.eprocurement.gov.cy/epps/home.do

In order to move the system to the new version of the portal and new database engine, I designed, created, and deployed a cross-platform ETL that migrated the existing data from Oracle RDBMS (11g) to new system deployed on PostgreSQL (9.6).

Over 1TB of public procurement data was migrated with all of the business logic and data quality checks.

  • United Kingdom Intellectual Property Office | Patent System DW Reporting (Development)
    https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/intellectual-property-office

I designed, developed, and deployed reports for an in-house data warehouse solution for IP patents and trademarks using the SQL Server Reporting Service with a custom model and queries.

The same design-and-development methodology was used later for the deployment of BPP's (Benelux Patent Platform) data model.

  • Advanced Replication Build of MongoDB (Other amazing things)

I set up a multi-node MongoDB solution with Master, Slave, and Arbiter nodes with various levels of visibility depending on the instance.

  • Custom Data Warehouse Solution (Other amazing things)

The client was receiving a large number of Excel files from sellers that he later summarized in reports which had the potential of giving a wealth of information if he had a system for easy analysis.

I designed a custom data warehouse solution that automates the importation of XLS files with Python into a database; it maps the data into a common underlying model and creates reports that could then be used by the client.
