The first part consisted of an in-depth process of cleaning, transforming, and exploring data to better understand the context and opportunities that could be further explored.
In the second part, several machine learning algorithms were applied to predict users' future conditions with two distinct approaches. The first one considered only the measurements taken right after the patient was admitted to the hospital and tried to predict the likelihood of UCI treatment being necessary. In the second approach, the same prediction was made using data from the two most recent measurements, taking advantage of the change over time to produce more accurate predictions.
