A serverless IoT application built on AWS with a React Native mobile front end.

After participating in the design of the cloud solution, I led both teams for back-end and front-end development while acting as an interface to the other involved departments as the product owner.

While optimizing for speed and latency, we implemented several communication protocols tailored to our specific use cases, such as a command and control protocol via MQTT as well as an MQTT-powered real-time enabled GraphQL implementation, generalizing data handling for both IoT and mobile devices.

In the process of building this application, I helped internal engineers transition from writing embedded C code to writing modern JavaScript running in the cloud and established new workflows in a remote team consisting of both internal and external developers.

A mobile application powered by React Native. I worked on the initial mobile version of Big Interview's educational platform, working tightly with back-end developers and designers.

The application made heavy use of recording and playing videos and put an emphasis on user experience. Within the team, we followed Agile methodologies and paid attention to proper communication in a fully remote-based workspace.

A mobile application built with React Native and powered by a Node.js back end. I was responsible for creating both the front and back end of the application's MVP to be tested and validated at a South Korean conference.

The application was based on connecting professionals of various backgrounds to foster cross-departmental innovation at professional events. It focused on real-time features such as messaging and the discovery of users in close proximity.

The project was managed within Jira, following an Agile methodology.

A suite of applications and infrastructure for an eCommerce business selling personalized visualizations of geographical maps.

The project consisted of multiple React applications, including a custom Shopify storefront, several internal tools for order management and fulfillment, and a rendering pipeline for creating high-fidelity artworks powered by headless Chrome and Puppeteer. The overall system was built using a multitude of AWS services, declaratively defined using CloudFormation and the AWS CDK, managed by a CI/CD process.

I was responsible for the full-stack implementation of the initial MVP, focusing on anonymous real-time messaging in a hyperlocal setting. For this project, I worked in a tight loop with the project's designer, being able to quickly adapt to changes in requirements and detect issues in the app's user experience.
