  • Momentum and Trend-based Volatility Investment Platform

    Validated a suite of trend-following, momentum-based, and other technical investment strategies via a flexible machine learning model using gradient boosting machine (GBM) and random forests methods. The objective was, among other things, to maximize the real long-term CAGR or SAFE MAX subject to acceptable risk characteristics, including costs, slippage, and feed-forward backtesting. I implemented a full-trade planning engine, simple tax consequences estimation, and total portfolio exposure management. The backtesting, concept, and application infrastructure were sufficient to onboard a range of skeptical, efficient, market hypothesis-type index investors who wanted to participate financially.

  • Large Scale Endowment Management Ecosystem

    A suite of UX-focused Node.js, PostgreSQL, and React applications supporting over $100 million in endowments for student support grants across the full spectrum of interactions. It included onboarding, tracking, reporting, financial returns and accounting support, intake of student applications, review and communications with applicants and recipients, and expenditure and return estimation.
