The client sells and leases specialized tools for oil well drilling.
They brought our team on to create a customer portal where their customers could order new tools and track their orders' status. When the project started, we visited the company and discovered that they were managing their orders via a combination of clipboards and paper on the wall and a few spreadsheets, a far cry from the automated, electronic solution they envisioned.
As the technical lead on the project, I worked with the client from requirements gathering to a go-live version and designed a custom, responsive solution which was the first of its kind in their industry.

As a member of a small software development firm, I discovered that every project had its own set of development practices. This led to inconsistency with regards to code quality, project management, and difficulty when trying to transition developers between projects.
I started an internal DevOps team dedicated to providing SDLC best practices, creating CI/CD workflows, and managing TFS/Git source control systems as a resource for the projects team. As the founder of this team, I became proficient in automated testing, CI/CD, TFS/Git, and a professional scrum developer.

EDI is an X12 standardized format of communication between different proprietary systems.
As a junior developer at the time, I was assigned to create a new EDI integration for Quorum’s Pipeline Transaction Management software along with a senior developer. However, early into requirements gathering, the senior developer was unable to work due to personal reasons, and I was left to do requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and production go-live all on my own. I successfully created the module and got it into production. This was a great growth experience early on in my career.

A personal website and blog, written using Nuxt.js and static site generation. It was developed completely by yours truly. Markdown-based content, lightweight, and fast loading times are all features of this project.
