In this project, built in-house and delivered to the Deputy Commissioner of Police Bangalore, the site allows the public to upload pictures of children who went missing and connects the parents with any police station where the child was found.

An Alexa App that tracks expenses and uses AI to forecast expense trends. The app is used to identify the costs and report if the user can meet the target set for the year. It was created for my personal use.

A single management platform that consolidates revenue and booking information across multiple vendors and provides a comprehensive, one-stop solution for revenue management within the hotel. It enables hotels to have an integrated view of their performance and forecast possibilities to inform further planning of operational aspects. The front-end development used Power BI, and back-end development was done from scratch using Microsoft SQL Server. The platform works with various data sources such as CSV, Excel, and JSON and uses analytics and the Microsoft SQL Server to scale up for hotel chains with more than 100 hotels.

I conducted this session, demonstrating my Power BI capabilities for recently laid-off software developers and those looking to enter the job market after the COVID-19-induced recession.

In the video, I covered the basics of Power BI and how user-friendly it is. I helped the participants understand how to use a bank statement to create a fairly comprehensive report of their income and expenses, thus, helping them understand their financial situation post-COVID-19.

After the live training session, participants were allowed to work with me on additional projects to understand Power BI better. This session helped attendees obtain Power BI certifications and secure employment without professional experience.

The client was facing frequent downtime as a result of exhausting DTU capacity. This required constant scaling up of resources and increased Azure billing. Even then, the performance was unpredictable. I was hired to review the already implemented design and recommend changes to improve performance and scalability. The project lasted for a year, during which I worked closely with engineering teams to rework many wrong designs and implement best practices within Azure SQL and Azure in general. By the time I was done, the Client could cut costs by half, consuming only the resources and 3x the number of concurrent users on the system at any time.

After fixing the major design issues, I do not have to work with the client to ensure routine maintenance, review any new implementations, and suggest best practices as needed.

The client is based out of the EU and has a product that provides SMS services, such as OTP, marketing, etc., to customers worldwide. The product was hitting performance limits as a result of the volume of SMS that needed to go out. This was made even more challenging by the additional logging required to keep track of the status of the SMS, etc.

I reviewed the code, suggested best practices, and worked on some rewrites that allowed the customer to double the throughput while reducing resource utilization.

I still occasionally consult for the client as and when they face an issue with their database design

I worked hand in hand with the CEO of the company when he first started the company three years ago. The idea was to create a Power BI portal providing revenue management services for top-tier hotels in the Asia Pacific region. It was just the two of us when the company started. I guided the IT and cloud best practices and designed the database and ETL solutions for the project. Ingesting data from over seven different data sources and catering to hundreds of hotels. Today, the company has seven-figure revenues. As a startup, I helped the client make the most out of bootstrapped resources to drive the product to meet the scalability challenges until the revenue started coming in.
