Augury
  • Created the webhook infrastructure of Augury, enabling enterprise customers to seamlessly integrate Augury insights directly into their systems.
  • Restructured the system, transitioning it from a monolithic to a microservices architecture, enhancing performance by over 90% and enabling real-time monitoring of production line machines requiring attention.
  • Redesigned completely the authorization mechanism to allow more flexibility and better UX design.
  • Integrated OpenTelemetry and established SDK standards for microservices, resulting in enhanced code quality and development velocity.
Technologies: Go, Python 3, Node.js, MongoDB, Redis, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Azure, Single Sign-on (SSO), CI/CD Pipelines, GitHub, Jenkins, CircleCI, Architecture, Software Architecture, Code Review, Azure Cloud Services, Back-end

Experience

Camera Managing Service

A customer created a battery-operated camera that was sleeping when no motion is detected. He needed a wake-up mechanism to provide a live view to the user when the camera is in sleep mode.
I designed and built a service where the cameras were connected via TCP that was able to send a signal to the cameras to awake them, but also managing their configuration and schedule different behaviors.
I created an internal threads scaling mechanism to allow connections of thousands of devices simultaneously, a custom external scaling mechanism, and a service referencing each camera since sharding or any other cluster method was not possible due to the way cameras were connecting.
I was the one designing and creating each of the components, and my team helped me by reviewing my designs and my code.
