Lucas Latyki

This is a project written in Julia that I solely developed during my aerospace engineering graduation project. It used genetic algorithms to optimize the design of satellite orbits. To accomplish this objective, many satellite orbit simulations were performed using different families of orbital parameters and considered atmospheric drag, orbit perturbations, and satellite maneuvers. Each orbit simulation was assessed using metrics of propulsion budget and ground target revisit time. Finally, some multi-objective optimization decision methods were applied on the resulting Pareto frontier.
