Senior Functional Safety Engineer

  • Developed the CPDU functional safety ISO-26262—including DCDC, an onboard charger, and power distribution—for VinFast EV VF6 and VF7. Applied functional safety ISO-26262 to the CPDU development.
  • Designed the controller board for the AC charging device, VinFast Wallbox Charger AC 7.4kW, used at home for VinFast EV.
  • Built the PCB to control DC Fan and PCB and connect all other PCBs into the VinFast DC charging station—30kW and 60kW.

Electronics Hardware Design Engineer

Experience

CPDU for VinFast EV

I developed functional safety for the CPDU—including DCDC, onboard charger (OBC), and power distribution—for VinFast EV VF6 and VF7, following ISO-26262 standards. This involved monitoring the technical safety requirements (TSR) developed by FEV and coordinating between the hardware and software teams to design the HW-SW interface.

To ensure the safety of the hardware design, I built hardware safety requirements (HSR) based on the TSR and performed safety analysis through FMEA, FTA, and DFA. I also monitored the hardware schematic design for compliance with the HSR and evaluated the hardware metric of the design (FMEDA) to comply with ISO-26262.

Also, I tested and validated prototypes and supported the hardware team in building work product compliance with ASPICE by ensuring traceability of requirements, design, and validation. Finally, I oversaw the ISO-26262 certification of the CPDU with TUV SUD.
