I was the only QA in a team that supported and developed the web, iOS, and Android apps. Due to a lot of work, I took every opportunity to automate as much as possible to save time on manual testing. I created my own framework and used it for API and UI tests. In the end, I had around 250 Selenium tests, 300 API tests, and a few Jenkins jobs that executed specific tests when needed—for example, smoke tests were executed daily by a scheduled job. I also added an integration with TestRail to create a test run with the results in TestRail when a Jenkins job executed some tests, which helped with the visibility of the QA efforts.
