  • Helicopter Tour Implementation

Architected and led the implementation of the end-to-end tour business automation on the Salesforce platform. From the moment a customer visits the website to buying a souvenir photo after the flight, everything from sales, marketing, operations, services, and accounting is handled on the Salesforce platform.

It involved building a complex booking engine that would first find viable seating arrangements based on helicopter specifications and passenger weight, calculate the weight and balance, and compare them to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and manufacturer-regulated boundaries. Then it would consider other profitability factors, such as scheduling flights consecutively and selling higher-margin spots first.

The implementation includes standard sales or service cloud configurations, custom development of external sites, internal operations consoles, an Android mobile check-in app, a Heroku-based flight and check-in monitor app, and a point-of-sale system used by the terminal staff.
